I have heard the news, and it isn't good.

2 blown head gaskets, at least, to the tune of $2,500.

They are tearing the engine down to see if it is going to need to be replaced (for an extra $360.)

If I have cracked or warped the engine, it will be:

$3,600 for a used engine with a 6 month warranty, for an engine that already has 47,000 miles on it.

or

$4,600 for a new engine with a 3 year, 100,000 mile warranty.

(Obviously, if I wind up buying a new or used engine, I don't pay for head gasket replacement. Those prices include all labor.)

I'll likely be hosting a lot of sales in my journal as I sell anything that isn't nailed down to help pay for this. Sorry about that in advance.

So. Yeah. That's that.
