Thursday, Dec. 17th - [livejournal.com profile] rowangolightly and I drive up.

Thusrday night 8 p.m. - A Black Tie Cabaret Burlesque Downtown Underground show at Union Station
(Does anyone know if the Black Tie in the event name refers to dress code expected of the audience, or is that just a spiffy name? Don't want to be underdressed!)

Friday, December 18th - Lunch somewhere? Maybe? Will need to be on the cheap side, because budget like whoa, but might be an opportunity to see people not coming to the evening events...

Friday night 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. - Longest Night Ball
Costuming for this must be begun in earnest this evening. I only need to make a skirt, but I have to find the fabric I want for it. Oh, and a headdress. Should be fine. Hobby Lobby tonight, methinks.

Saturday, December 19th - Wake up at decent hour. Drive to Coweta

Saturday Evening - Yule party @ Cannon residence (wherein I likely pass out early from not near enough sleep the previous two nights)

Sunday, December 20th - Drive home (Pass out and sleep in the next day, Mom willing)

I finally caved yesterday and succombed to the facts that I'm just not gonna have the finances to pull off going to the ball. But I'll see you at the Yule party!

Did you get a refund on your ticket, or do I need to pimp it out for you and see if we can sell it? I'll miss you, but I totally get finances being tight. This is going to be budget trip like whoa for me.

I just sent an email to the email addy I used to make the PayPal payment. I have not received an actual ticket, nor the partial refund that was talked about when the ticket prices dropped. I have asked if I was supposed to get an actual ticket that I could sell since I wasn't going to be able to make it or a refund if possible. We'll see what they say I guess. I did copy and paste the paypal receipt into the email to prove I paid.

As the website says, there are no paper tickets for Longest Night. Your name was added to the guest list when you paid; partial refunds are (to my knowledge) supposed to be given at the event, when you check in. You should have received an email with this information from featherynscale@gmail.com - if not, perhaps zie has the wrong email address for you?

I apologize for the confusion.

Not a problem at all! I hadn't even thought to go look until I found out I couldn't go. I have had no complaint at all! And I was graciously given a refund for my entire ticket since I couldn't attend. When AmberBob mentioned selling the ticket I answered with the above before looking at the website and just after I sent the email making the enquiry.

As things stand now, I am not going, either (for much the same reason - as I said elsewhere, it's not the cost of the ticket that is the problem, it's the 3 tanks of gas and eating money...)

I did not buy a ticket, so no huhu there. And I will be at the Yule party, as far as I know.

"Black Tie Cabaret" as I understand it, it's a spiffy name to indicate that we won't just be doing Snowy/Winter/Christmas songs. I've heard from several folks that they'll be dressed to the nines but it's not a requirement. Hooting, hollering and fun is. :)

Woot! Can't wait...

I think we'll be dressed to the nines anyway.

And yes, hooting, hollerng and having fun. I'll be with AmberBob; how can we not have fun!

I won't be there, but if you see my buddy BlindStiff Willy, tell him Mario said hello. :D

I have to work that night, so I'm not going to make the Burlesque show.

I've seen him perform with SOB, does he do BDU too? A friend of mine is totally in love with him.

What color/kind of fabric are you looking for for your skirt? I have some of my stash down here, and you are welcome to come over and take a look, if you like.

Hey, here's a plan...

Let's do lunch on the 18th! I'll cook if you like, or I know a bunch of awesome places around here.

I might even make it to the BDU show, just cuz. I'll be late, class ends at 8 that night.
