Watching Enchanted this evening...

I still want the fairy tale... I just want it on my terms.

And I'm sick to death of apologizing for wanting what I want. I won't do it anymore. Settling for less than what will make me happy would require me being untrue to myself, and I refuse to do that.

And that's that.

(No, no one has said anything to me or been cruel...this is just me reminding myself not to settle for anything that will make me miserable just because I'm facing yet another holiday alone. I have to remind myself of these things so I don't make rash or foolish decisions sometimes.)

i'm getting to the settling for anyone point. or being resigned to a wandery no-one-ness. almost.

I am an unapologetic capitalist, if I want a 51" HDTV with Upscaling HD DVD player, wireless Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound and a Wii with a balance board, I will budget out the money for a year and buy them. If I want to be communist/socialist, there are countries that are willing to accept converts.

Oh, wait, you were talking about a person? If one doesn't meet your standards, go for the TV instead. ;-)

You gotta kiss a lotta frogs to find your prince.

I'm not sure it's worth the warts.

TV

Thems some true words there, them.

Darlin' girl, I am proud to know you, stick by your guns, and don't ever settle for less. Friendship and companionship are good, and can give stability in your life. But when your whole heart and soul are not involved it leaves an empty space that eats away at your very essence. The only thing worse is having your whole heart and soul involved with someone that just wants a friend and companion. Hold out for that two way street.

Yep, its official, I have to meet you and soon LOL

You're not alone, you have Teh Intertubes!

Well, at least those of us who are gonna be on the 'tubes throughout, anyways.

Also, I had a moment of, "Heyyyyy, waitaminute...." yesterday, while watching Return of the King.

The girl Samwise hooks up with? Totally reminds me of you, in that "rosy cheeked, huge smile, looks totally sweet" kind of way.

Amen. I'm trying not to believe in the "happily ever after" anymore; three times burned, more than a little gun-shy.

I won't settle either; if I can't have a full, loving partnership with honesty and commitment...I'll just do without.

I got a fortune cookie thst said, "If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that would not for anyone else."

You know that story of the woman and the tiger? What if the tiger's door wouldn't open for anyone else, but...

i settled the first time i got married.

i didn't the second time, and I was properly awake and knew what I was doing (I think, LOL). Life is better being alive, aware, alert, and enthusiastic!

Make more friends, keep enjoying your life, keep making the lists of Things You Want then create small succulent movements toward those things.

Love, be kind, enjoy your own life.

I think this marks the first time I've been compared to a hobbit and known it was a compliment!

*grins*

Thanks, hon!

Well there's a cheerful thought!

I only want happy, dancing tigers, like the one in my icon. Not devour me and spit out the crunchy bit tigers.
