FINALLY allowed to share some exciting news it has been killing me to sit on!!
Tessa Gratton, known to the LJ world as
everflame, has a BOOK DEAL!!! With RANDOM HOUSE!!!!
*SQUEEFLAIL*
Here's the official announcement, for posterity's sake:
Tessa Gratton's debut BLOOD MAGIC, about two teens who meet in a cemetery and plunge into a dangerous world of dark magic, first love, and the deadly secrets that hide in blood, to Suzy Capozzi at Random House Children's, at auction, in a very good deal, in a two-book deal, for publication in summer 2011, by Laura Rennert at Andrea Brown Literary Agency (world).
I'm so happy I could puke! Seriously. I was lucky enough to read a draft of this novel, and boy, are ya'll in for a treat!! I can't wait to read the final, polished version, and I can't wait for my students to get a taste of Tessa's work. They are going to love it!!
Many congratulations, Tessa!! I'm so incredibly happy for you!!!
