Tessa Gratton, known to the LJ world as
everflame, has a BOOK DEAL!!! With RANDOM HOUSE!!!!
*SQUEEFLAIL*
Here's the official announcement, for posterity's sake:
Tessa Gratton's debut BLOOD MAGIC, about two teens who meet in a cemetery and plunge into a dangerous world of dark magic, first love, and the deadly secrets that hide in blood, to Suzy Capozzi at Random House Children's, at auction, in a very good deal, in a two-book deal, for publication in summer 2011, by Laura Rennert at Andrea Brown Literary Agency (world).
I'm so happy I could puke! Seriously. I was lucky enough to read a draft of this novel, and boy, are ya'll in for a treat!! I can't wait to read the final, polished version, and I can't wait for my students to get a taste of Tessa's work. They are going to love it!!
Many congratulations, Tessa!! I'm so incredibly happy for you!!!

I admit, I suck with criticisms beyond "you are missing half a sentence here" and "this word does not mean what you think it means" kind of criticisms, but if you ever just need someone to read something and tell you how awesome you are, that I can do.
