If you saw my entry yesterday and were curious as to which was a lie, the answer is

#2 is the lie.

#1 is 100% true, and ya'll must have confidence in me, because no one guessed that one.

#2 - I enjoy putt- putt a crazy amount, and love placing outlandish wagers on the game if I can convince someone to play along, but I'm really not very good at it, or bowling, which I also enjoy.

#3 - I really am frightened of small birds. I had a boyfriend who used to think it was funny to release his pet birds from the cage and they would fly at me and land on my head and flap in my face, and I really disliked it. At first, I was quite frightened of all birds, but working with Royal Gauntlet has helped me get over that fear. Also, large groups of small birds freak me right out. I think Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds affected me deeply. I watched it once, as a child, and have never watched it again, because the idea scares me.

So there you have it. Did you guess correctly?

Huh, I guessed incorrectly but was dithering between the two.

Old boyfriends can be the reason for some really stupid stuff, ya know? I refuse to learn to play chess because a long-ago boyfriend taught me only enough to have someone to beat in two moves.

We should go and play putt-putt together because I am really retched at it but I LOVE to play, nonetheless.

Your old boyfriend, too? Gah. I've been stubborn about going back to chess for the same exact reason for more than half of my life. It is one of the things on my big list of things to do; one more purging of the hold he still has on me way too long after our final split. :)

Well, this was clear back in high school; I suspect I've been using it as an excuse for a lack of strategic ability as anything.

The only real downfall to it is that my band's name is "Queen's Gambit" and so all of our CD names are chess moves and not one of us in the band plays chess!

Chess is another game I suck at but enjoy playing. If you ever want someone to just knock around the board with, with at least a 50/50 chance of beating them, then I'll be happy to teach you the rudiments.

I'm not a good strategizer, and so I fail at chess. I'm too in the moment.

And I'm all for putt-putt...we should get an outing together and do that one fine September weekend evening, me thinks!

I think that's a fabulous idea.

In a strange quirk of fate, the St. Louis Pirate Faire is courting us so I don't know if three of those weekends will be free afterall or not. But who knows if they can afford us...

If I had submitted a serious guess, I would have gone with 2.

But I was being silly.

Is this one of those "I love playing strip poker, I always lose" things?

I guessed right! :-)

I was a bit torn between 2 and 3, leaning towards 2.

Even though it was yesterday's writer's block, I may do the same in my journal soon (tonight, tomorrow, something) as I go through my huge list of things I want to write about now that I've got some time to myself. I really enjoyed this, and would love to see others on my list jump on board.

I had guessed #3 was the lie, mainly because of the lots of detail that went into it (the subconscious prompts us that in order to be believed, the lie needs support)

Besides, there was no item for cake, in which case the answer would obviously have been: "The cake is a lie."
