Things Which Do Not Suck: A Challenge

I enjoyed writing my list earlier so much that I'm going to challenge myself to write a list of things that didn't suck every day for a week. I encourage everyone to play along by posting a list of things that didn't suck each day in their journal, too, or at least commenting on mine and telling me things that didn't suck. I'm just naive enough to believe that putting that much positive energy into the world for a week can make a difference, and if it doesn't, I have lost nothing.

For anyone thinking that their lives are so horrible that they can't find at least one or two things that don't suck each day, I encourage you to do something each day to make someone else's life better, even if it is just smiling at them and receiving a smile in return. If you can't accomplish at least that much positivity, then A) you need to seriously re-evaluate your life choices, and B) I'm not 100% sure I need you in my life. I am throwing that out there pre-emptively to the Negative Nellies that tend to pop up on these kinds of posts.

To recap: 1 week. At least 1 positive thing each day.

Game on.

These things intrigue me will you tell me more? "Kaylee Tuesday Tuneups and Thankful Thursdays"

Kaylee is the ship's mechanic from Firefly. Every KTT starts like this:

I don't believe there's a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just want to duct tape her mouth and stick her in the hold for a month. -Mal Reynolds

It doesn't hurt to be a little bit Kaylee about life.

And then I write about something positive, no matter what. Or I'll ask for people to. Kaylee Tuneup...

Thankful Thursdays are just a day to remember to write about soomething for which I'm thankful. It serves to focus on blessings for lack of a better world. I guess on Thursdays because of Thanksgiving. :)

I think that is a little bit of awesome, and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Tell you what... I'll friend you and you can wander if you wish. I saw your culling post, and I agree, you don't want just anyone reading your journal. All my posts are flocked. It's probably not as awesome as you think, though I know a good bit of my flist, and I care about the people I know, very much. As *you* know Bob you're welcome in there, because I trust her absolutely.

I tend to post a bit.

Tell you what, I'll friend you back, and probably copy of a sort your Tuesday and Thursday themes. (if I can, I think that's brilliant!) I'll try to come up with original titles or give you credit.
I feel as you do "As *you* know Bob you're welcome in there, because I trust her absolutely. "

Of course that does not mean that her taste runs to our own, and so if at the end of a trial period say a month, we wish to remove our selves, no harm no foul.

Welcome [livejournal.com profile] bodhifox I'm Christine, nice to meet you.

Fair enough, and my pleasure. No worries if you want to stay or go. I do tend to be posty.

Today's Tuneup is up now, BTW.
