Mmmm...build-your-own-tacos and Super Bowl commercials. I work tomorrow in the morning teaching Spanish. It's disturbing how much Spanish I picked up living in Texas all those years.

Interception and a 100 yard run for a touchdown? I don't care who you are, that is impressive.

Budweiser commercials are always my favorite.

3-D stuff at the Super Bowl. I remember when they did that back in the late 80's/ early 90's. Looking forward to Chuck in 3-D tomorrow.

Wow. Extreme close-up of Bruce Springsteen's crotch when he slid too far and racked himself on the camera. Funny. He looks and sounds old. Certain people aren't supposed to age, and Springsteen is one of them. Makes me feel old.

*yawn*

Mom has potato skins in the oven. Yum.

Geeky Coke commercial is cute.

How much do I love the Budweiser Clydesdales? So very much!

Blah, blah football. The score hasn't budged in ages. Sadly, that is why the big games are sometimes less exciting. It's all flags and fouls and no moving of the ball.

Oooh...exciting at the end!

And now it is over.

Fyi, Steve Perry turned 60 last week.

And he still has his voice.

Stop. It.

I do not need to know that Steve Perry is 60, voice or no.

LOL

Oh I know...

...Or that the Stones are STILL touring. At this rate Mick'll look like Rosie from the Grateful Dead.

Btw, imho, no one'll replace Steve! (He's a local boy ya know. Grew up over in Banta. And his family still lives in Lodi.)

He's got an utterly amazing voice. Open Arms is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Where are these Banta and Lodi you speak of? (I live in Kansas.)

CA, San Joaquin Valley. I'm in Stockton.

And that would be why I don't know these cities. :) I've been to CA all of once. Saw LAX and LA Downtown. Caught a glimpse of Chinatown on my way back to LAX. :)

Yeah, there's a lot here. Sometimes too much.

Especially for a lineman who's not SUPPOSED to run distances.

I firmly believe they gave MVP to the wrong player. Yeah, Holmes's catch won the game - but that interception/touchdown run helped get them to that point.

You have a Blind Mag icon. This makes me love you forever.

I have two Blind Mag icons and a Graverobber icon, and I've changed the titles of my journal and friends page to quotes from the movie.

I'm a little bit obsessed.

Friday the 13th I'm getting together with a small group of friends to have a Repo! party, and I'm so stoked.

Also, I'm strongly thinking of making a Blind Mag costume to wear to my local Sci-Fi con.

I'm a dork like that.

And I covet your scalpel necklace like whoa. I'm hoping she'll restock soon so I can order one.

This is between you and me and the interwebs, but she -is- planning on making a second release of the necklaces. I'll also look around and see if I can find anything repo-related that I have to send. I know i have one teeny thing for sure.

Did you manage to make it to one of the road tour showings?

It's really trippy, to see the DVD in stores, and to know people who have worked on it, to have met some of the actors, and just to have that behind-the-scenes knowledge. It's just.. bizarre. Surreal. But seriously cool. And i get so excited when my friends know about it and love it.

Thanks for the re-cap on the commercials. B/C although we did go to a Super Bowl party - I don't know what made me think people were actually going to be watching it while it was blaring on the TV. I did not get to see even 1/2 of one commercial - which of course is the whole reason to watch Super Bowl.
