Every year, the most awesome [livejournal.com profile] cadhla does a fanfic countdown to Christmas... just little snippets and slice of life stories from different fandoms, each chosen by perusing the comments on the day before. She started this year's advent with one so awesome that I couldn't even suggest something for tomorrow. (I had seconded this nomination on yesterday's entry post, actually, and it was better than I could have hoped!)

If you are a fan of The Big Bang Theory, go here and read. You'll thank me later.

I do this test every time it comes around, because it is always different and always seems to hit spot on with what I'm feeling at the time.

Here's my results for today:

A brief actual update, and then a quick update to [livejournal.com profile] rescue_rowan and then the Secret Santa Draw, and then a bath, and then bed.

Subbed today in Clothing Design and Family and Consumer Sciences (Home Ec. for those of us born before things went all PC)
Sub tomorrow in Drama and Humanities
Sub Thursday in Remedial Mathematics

Busy, busy, busy.

Mom comes home sometime this weekend, if all goes according to plan. I really needed the next few days to get ready for that, but can't turn down the work.

Had an amazing time in Texas both hanging at the home of [livejournal.com profile] ladyniniane & [livejournal.com profile] brotherwilliam's son & daughter-in-law and at TRF, where I finally got to meet [livejournal.com profile] aranel13 in person. She's awesome, and I wish we lived closer together so I could hang with her more often and her son is an absolute dollbaby, with pinchable cheeks and a head full of red hair. Good as gold he was, too. Just chilling and taking it all in.

While at TRF, I fell in love with something so hard that I had to purchase it and beg Mom to make it my Christmas present. Now, of course, I have to figure out a way to incorporate it into my already planned Longest Night Ball costume, because it is just that awesome. I think I know how I'm going to make it work, though, so that's good. Just need to find time to go fabric shopping.

[livejournal.com profile] starseeking (an excellent travelling companion, by the by) and I headed down to Galveston on Sunday. I was glad to see that it was still standing and that the damage wasn't as bad as I had feared, at least in the areas we went. I was happy to go spend some money there to help the rebuilding efforts. We stayed way too late and I didn't get nearly enough rest Sunday night, but I'm mostly caught up now.

Busy, busy, busy.
