Happy Birthday!!

I don't often post birthday wishes in my journal, because I've been blessed with so many friends that I would feel horrible if I missed someone, and because my journal would be completely filled with birthday messages, but I have to occasionally make an exception, and today I must do that.

I believe that music is one of the greatest gifts we can give, either to ourselves or a loved one, and instilling the love of it in someone is one of the kindest things we can do for them. Please support your local school music programs, and support those whose love of music inspires them to share that love with others.

And, yes, Smog and I are already talking about lessons with her as soon as possible, now that we have such an awesome resource at hand!

My SIL and brother came over with a birthday present for me...Shiver, by Maggie Stiefvater!

Exciting! I'm totally starting this tomorrow! (Almost through with The Wastelands, so I'll finish that tonight. Sorry, Drums of Autumn...you just got put on hold for a couple of days!)

Oh, and I finally told my SIL to just say Steveotter when trying to say Maggie's last name. It gets the sound across close enough, but I giggle everytime I say it. She needs an otter for a mascot. An otter named Steve.
