Saw this last night on funky_peacenik's journal, and it...well, it came at exactly the right time in light of my decision to move to the KC area, like a message I needed to hear. I can tell that others felt the same in regards to their own lives, so I am reposting it here to share with all of my friends.

Mail. I has it.

Received two interesting pieces of mail today.

Mail number one is my awesome ring that I ordered from Limoges. I can not say enough good things about their jewelry...I'm a huge fan. I am now sporting my ring on the ring finger of my right hand, and I simply adore it. It is shiny, in all senses of the word.

Mail number two is...a little more unsettling. It's my bridesmaid dress for a wedding in February. It is sexy as hell...or it will be when I drop a bit more weight (their sizing runs small, which I expected from reading their feedback, and I ordered the biggest size they had. I can wear it, but I'll be more comfortable down a couple of sizes, which I should be by February) and find the correct bra to wear with it (and it still may require some creative pinning, but I can work with that.) When I say sexy, I mean sexy. I mean, lingerie that you would wear on the honeymoon night sexy, not walking down the aisle at your friends wedding sexy! We are talking about creating little jackets to wear over them, and that will hopefully make it slightly more wedding appropriate, because right now? YOWSA!! On the upside, when I add a pair of killer black heels, it will be ready for the night club scene, should I ever go to one. Oh, and Kim? The straps are sequined. I didn't expect that. Not bad, just unexpected. They'll be under the jacket anyway. Anyway. So. Uber sexy bridesmaid dress received and hanging. I'll bring it to the Yule party so you can see it in person, if you like.
