Today has been a good day thus far.

Teaching English, which today means reading Great Expectations and To Kill A Mockingbird, both of which I like. Listening to music in the classroom, a little soft Tchaikovsky in the background (Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty, for those who would know) is a nice addition. Bookings for tomorrow and Friday, which is very good. Tomorrow will be Marriage class and Food Prep class, and the teacher promised to set me aside a plate of the finished product on Friday, since I have to be there for the prep. Friday I teach advanced math for one of the teachers I really like. She always leaves good preperations and doesn't make me delve into the Calc. and Trig., thank goodness! Usually schedules a quiz when she's going to be gone, so that's easy enough.

It is cold and windy here today, cold enough that I'd like to curl up under blankets for an hour or so, but my lunch break isn't quite that long.

Looks like Mom will be home next Tuesday. Mixed blessing, but hopefully we can make it through.

Suppose I ought to go rinse out my soup cup and get ready to head back. Need to go to the grocery store tonight and pick up more soup, and maybe something to stick in the crockpot for dinner tomorrow. Hmmm...stew, maybe, or chilli... Still need to get the tree out of storage and set up, but that may have to wait until this weekend at this rate. Christmas parade this Saturday.
