Oct. 29th, 2008 10:34 pm2 yards of flowy black polyester fabric from Wal-Mart = $4.00
1 yard of double face satin ribbon = $0.34
Realizing that it's a cape a nine year old will wear for a few hours (most of which will be in the dark) and finally stopping stressing = PRICELESS
Yeah, I finally cut the fabric into a vague semi-circle shape, stitched the ribbon along the neckline with enough left over for ties, and called it good. No hemming. Used the selvedge as the front edges. Totally half assed it, but good enough for Halloween.
