Nov. 18th, 2005 11:58 pmI have survived.
Yes, I took the kidling and three, count 'em three, of his bestest friends out to dinner and a movie tonight to celebrate his Natal Day early. We dined on the fabulous cuisine of the King of Burgers, and then went to see Harry Potter.
That's where things got ugly.
Despite having a midnight showing last night/this morning, they were completely sold out for Harry Potter. On every show. Mind you, it's only showing on two screens, but I overheard someone say they had been sold out since 1:00 that afternoon.
So disappointed.
So there I was, with four cranky, over sugared kids who had been looking forward to seeing Harry Potter for months, and I had to tell them we couldn't go. Kidlings whole party was centered around seeing this movie, ever since I found that the release date was the Friday before his birthday.
Heartbroken.
We bought tickets to Zathura, which we enjoyed, but it was not the same.
Any other night, Zathura would have been a treat, as it was entertaining and had nice special effects, but tonight it felt like exactly what it was...sloppy seconds.
It totally sucks that you can't buy tickets online for this theater...most of the theaters in the city have that option. The only way to buy them is at the counter, and I live 30 minutes away from Stillwater.
It was a nice party, but frustrating at the same time.
